Jay Rooney founded DepositLink in 2017 after 23 years as one of the top-producing real estate agents in Massachusetts and the Broker/Owner of GKR Residential. As CEO, Jay oversees the sales efforts, marketing, customer support, and the software development roadmap at DepositLink. Jay is a graduate of Salisbury School (CT) and Tufts University and is a member of the FinTech Professionals Association. He is a huge Boston sports fan.
Darrell has over 35 years of experience working in accounting, finance, and private equity. As CFO, Darrell oversees accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and capital raising for DepositLink. Darrell is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School, qualified as a CPA in New York State, and received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. Darrell enjoys skiing with his family, traveling in Italy, coaching youth baseball, and is an avid New York Yankees fan.
Mark Gibbons was named Vice President of Sales for DepositLink in October 2019. Previously, Mark spent 20+ years as a top producing agent in the highly competitive Boston suburbs market. As Sales VP, Mark oversees and reports on all daily sales activities and client training initiatives while maintaining key customer relationships and partnerships. Mark enjoys going to the beach with his wife Sarah and four children, coaching little league baseball, and rooting on all Boston sports teams.
Carolyn has 20+ years of combined sales and marketing experience, working for over a decade in media sales and, more recently, for a direct-to-consumer premium skincare brand. As VP of Marketing and Growth, Carolyn oversees all marketing initiatives and manages strategic partnerships with MLS’s and Associations. She is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a B.A. in Communications. Carolyn enjoys spending time outside, exercising, and being a rock star mom to her three kids.
Doug leads the DepositLink engineering team in creating a reliable web platform that's secure, robust, and easy to use. He holds a wide array of industry experience with building and maintaining web service systems, and values the flexibility to embrace new technologies and adapt to the constantly changing needs of the ecosystem. Doug earned his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, cross-country skiing, and being an all-around geek.
Jes has spent her whole life tinkering to make every day a little better. Her interest in improving the lives of others led her to an education in design, achieving a B.S. in Industrial Design, a certificate in UX/UI User-Centered Design, and a certificate in Human-Centered Healthcare Design. Jes has worked as a packaging prototyper, store designer, and web developer. She attributes her past work experiences to what makes her an intuitive designer. Jes enjoys creating above all. Her days away from the office are filled with paintbrushes and toolboxes.
Tyler is a Lead Front-End Engineer with over 5 years of experience in building websites. He has worked in both freelance and fast-paced corporate environments, designing and developing webpages and gaining valuable skills and knowledge in the field. In addition to his professional pursuits, Tyler likes to spend his spare time playing video games, creating digital art, and occasionally making music. He co-authored a young teen fantasy novel titled "Seekers of the Stoneheart," developed over nine years with his brother, and they’re now writing two sequels.
After graduating from UConn with his degree in Computer Engineering, James began his career developing embedded software for nuclear submarines. James joins the DepositLink team as a Senior Software Engineer, focusing mainly on DepositLink’s back-end. James continues to expand his software skills during his free time through video game development. When he’s not coding, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Julia, and his dog, Walter.
Matt comes to DepositLink with 10 years of experience in software product development and customer support operations. Outside of work, he enjoys exploring New England, playing pickleball, and spending time with his family.
Jess Fishman is an experienced customer support and operations leader with over a decade of experience helping startups scale. She has led global teams, developed customer experience programs from the ground up, and specializes in streamlining processes and building high-performing organizations. Outside of work, Jess enjoys home improvement projects, learning Japanese, and spending time with her dog. She also explores creative side projects, including publishing and e-commerce.
Marc is a customer-obsessed success leader dedicated to empowering real estate professionals through trusted, innovative solutions. With a strong background in customer success, relationship management, and technology enablement, Marc is passionate about optimizing the customer journey, driving adoption, and building long-term partnerships. His experience managing multimillion-dollar portfolios and launching strategic initiatives, like the Compass and DepositLink partnership, reflects his commitment to creating meaningful impact and delivering exceptional value to clients. Outside of work, he enjoys hosting a Formula 1 podcast and sharing his love for the sport.
Liz is an onboarding specialist who loves welcoming new clients to DepositLink. She has been working in customer service, sales, and support for 17 years after receiving her BFA from James Madison University. In her free time, you can find Liz gardening, being active, and hanging with her husband, three kids, dog, cat, and 6 chickens in Rhode Island.
Shayla is a UI/UX designer with an adoration for color and visual design of all kinds. She brings a diverse range of design skills to DepositLink, with a background in graphic design before transitioning to UI/UX design. She is a UI/UX designer and graphic designer here at DepositLink, working on software designs as well as creating marketing materials. When Shayla isn’t designing she enjoys tending to her garden, tackling DIY house projects, painting, and spending quality time with her husband, Brandon, and daughter, Elise.
Jim has over 30 years of strategy development, finance, marketing, and operational experience across the private, public, and not-for-profit sectors. Jim has advised numerous companies in various industries, including technology, financial services, and education. Jim holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the College of Holy Cross and an MBA with distinction from Harvard University. Jim has a passion for youth development, helping students succeed, and any New York sports team.
